Sole F63 Treadmill Review

When it comes to entry-level treadmills, many people will lead you to believe that you just cannot get a good treadmill for less than $1,000. Most places will try to get you to upgrade to a model a few hundred dollars more expensive. But if you are just looking for a machine which will let you walk or jog in the comfort of your own home, the Sole F63 might be just what you need.

The F63 features a 2.5 HP motor which runs a little louder than more expensive Sole treadmills, but is still powerful enough to reach speeds of up to 10 miles per hour, which should be more than enough for most people’s needs. The belt length is 55 inches which is perfect for walking and jogging, unless you are especially tall and have an extra long stride length. The F63 is also able to hold up to 325 pounds, so even heavy users can enjoy healthy workouts.

All of the features you’d expect from a Sole machine are present including easy reach controls mounted on the arm rests and a very clear display system. While the F63 may not offer all of the display options of a higher end model, there are still enough different features to meet all of the needs of the casual user. The treadmill also features an ingenious cooling fan system which provides a gentle cool breeze as you workout – this really does come in handy on those hot days!

While the sturdier feel of some of the higher end Sole models is lacking a bit, you still get an impressive warranty with this model. The motor and deck are still covered by a lifetime warranty and the major electronics receive a 3 year warranty. You also get 1 year parts and labor. But considering that the roots of this machine lie in major hotel chains, you are likely to end up with a treadmill that lasts as long as you do.

Using this treadmill is much more comfortable than running on a pavement, however one disappointment is that Sole’s Cushion Flex absorption system is not present on this model, so you may find the deck quite hard if you are used to using higher end treadmills. Bearing that in mind, along with the louder noise produced by the motor a serious runner may want to consider upgrading to a higher specification model. However, it is certainly one of the best treadmills in this price range, so if you are a beginner or casual user you should seriously consider the F63.
